Lyle Orr Award Winners The prestigious Free Church Lyle Orr awards for Bible knowledge were presented at the General Assembly of the Free Church of Scotland in Edinburgh on Tuesday 23 May. Finlay Macsween from Stornoway, winner of the Infant Grade, is 6 years old and is in Primary 2 at Stornoway Primary School. He likes reading, cycling, swimming and telling jokes. He also enjoys playing football and even though the rest of his family support Rangers, Finlay is a Celtic fan! He attends Stornoway Free Church Sunday School. |

The Junior Grade prizewinner is Kathryn Martin from Helmsdale. Kathryn is 9 years old and she likes drawing, playing with her friends and Nintendo DS. She also enjoys freestyle dancing and goes to classes on Saturdays to learn jazz and cheerleading. Thirteen year old Mairi Ferrier is the Bible Class winner. She is a member of Rosskeen Free Church and attends Alness Academy. Mairi’s interests include “The Lord of the Rings”, making things and playing football with her two brothers. |
