Youth camp - Pitlochry poetry in motion
July 11, 2012
Is there no end to the talents of the Free Church youth?!
As well as a few photos, we have received a poem (see below) written by the Pitlochry junior group of their experiences at camp.
Reverend Ruairidh and Peigi Maclean are the leaders. Do keep checking for more updates – and remember if you want to donate to the work of the camps you can do so by clicking here.
Camp
Camp was number one,
Full of laughter, full of fun.
Going to Pitlochry in the rain;
Sitting on the bus, such a pain!
Blair Drummond the Safari Park,
Lions and tigers, but no sharks.
We went on the sack slide,
But would have preferred an elephant ride.
Bowling was great,
But it just wouldn’t roll straight.
Shopping bags everywhere,
People stopped to look and stare.
We had a quiz every night,
We turned out to be quite bright!
Every day we had a chore,
It turned out to be quite a bore.
And here we sit making crowns,
They will make you happy and lift your frown.
On Thursday night, the banquet set
With food and juice, so none will fret.
Our mini-bus is a useful tool,
To take us to the swimming pool,
To archery and canoeing we go…
Singing songs, what a show!
