Dismay at Obama’s support for gay marriage
May 10, 2012
A Free Church of Scotland minister has penned an open letter to President Barack Obama after he became the first American President to back homosexual marriage.
Reverend David Robertson, minister of St Peter’s Free Church in Dundee, warned Mr Obama that his legacy will be “as the President who sought to overturn the will and truth of God on marriage”.
Mr Robertson said: “To advocate and support same-sex marriage could have a far more devastating effect and harm than any good you have or indeed could do.
“I plead with you to think that perhaps you may be mistaken, and to truly seek what the Lord wants, and what is best for all of us.”
