Psalmody

The Psalmody Committee’s task is to promote the best possible standards of praise in Free Church congregations. It does this through the production of contemporary versions of the psalms, CDs, videos, DVDs and teaching materials.

It holds precentors’ workshops and encourages others to organise psalm-singing events.  The Committee also invites interested congregations to participate in a psalmody award scheme aimed at promoting interest in psalmody among young people.

It encourages individuals and congregations in other churches in the UK and overseas to make a greater use of the Bible’s Spirit-inspired songs in their worship.
