Assembly Arrangements The main responsibilities of this Committee involve the practical arrangements required for the annual meeting of the General Assembly each May. The Committee decides on the number of commissioners who are to attend from each Presbytery of the church and on matters like appointing someone to look after delegates from other churches, making arrangements for various functions held during the Assembly week, as well as making sure that provision is made for the processing of Assembly Reports. The Assembly Hall is maintained by St. Columba’s congregation who use it weekly for their services and activities but the Committee liase with their Deacons’ Court from time to time regarding any equipment, renovations or furniture that may be required for the Assembly.
